Things move slowly sometimes in Cambridge - it's 18 months since I took Image and observed that Tesco's plans to open a store were controversial. They didn't get any more popular, but the store has finally opened. Deliveries are to be made round the back (a nightmare in narrow streets but not actually contrary to planning permission like stopping in Mill Road would be), and an alcohol licence was refused because of the council's cumulative impact policy in the area (too many outlets attracting too many street drinkers).
