Founded in 1897 by Herbert Frood. Famous for the production of brake-linings and for the addition of the name to bridges all over the UK. It is now part of the American company Federal-Mogul. During the 1990s all reference to the Ferodo brand disappeared from the signs at the factory it became "Federal Mogul Friction Products". As can be seen here Ferodo signs have now been restored.
