Constructed in the mid eighties as one of a series of "balancing lakes" - designed to hold floodwater during heavy rain, Furzton lake is now a valuable environment for wildlife, home to a large population of geese and waterfowl. Furzton lake is located in the Furzton Grid square and is bordered by V4 Watling street, Shirwell Crescent, Bilbrook lane, and Shirwell Crescent. It is roughly 2.2Km around the whole lake.
