An example of work in progress on pavement resurfacing http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1446576 in the Malpas area of Newport. Or rather, work suspended for the weekend. There must be a master plan for the resurfacing work, but to the casual observer there is a seemingly haphazard patchwork of old pavement, new pavement and, as here, pavement being resurfaced.
