This tower was at the north-east extremity of the town walls, but it takes a bit of imagination to picture the scene now, with so much modern building surrounding it. Or perhaps "smash and grab" using white vans and motorcycles as get away vehicles was the way they did it in Medieval days too. A board explaining all is here Image]
