Jumpers: the Stour behind River Way

It is not far off nightfall now, and also starting to rain. We are looking downstream; the river reaches its journey's end in a few miles, having done more than 50 to get this far. The river here marks the parish boundary between Christchurch and Hurn – although the boundary diverts and does a loop around the field on the left. This suggests that the river had a more meandering course in years gone by.
