This sculpture is beside a path beside the Great Stour, near a footbridge (in the background) from Kingsmead Leisure Centre to Sainsbury supermarket and car park. The sculpture has a metal plaque near the base which reads 'Accepted by the right worshipful the Mayor of Canterbury Councillor Mrs Margaret Scott-Knight on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second 1977. Designed by Richard Jones Canterbury College of Art. Sculptured by the Department of Engineering and Mining Canterbury College of Technology'.
