It is hard to believe now but this was the most successful club in the 'English' league (let alone the Midlands) during the 1950's. They even surpassed 'The Villa' & that is hard to believe. They almost got the league & cup double but were pipped to the post by Burnley. Strangely both clubs are the new boys in the Premiership for the 2009/10 season - I won't tell you who the other bunch are. Will they stay up? I hope so.
