There's quite a lot going on in this scene, both seen and unseen. There's the man repairing the roof above the shop, and a man walking into picture carrying his shopping. Then there is the local resident walking in the road. It's a fairly busy B road, but he obviously feels safe with his action, but why was it necessary? Just out of picture to the left, two people were deep in conversation, and blocking the pavement! Oh yes, there's also the interesting contrast of building styles.
