Leading toward the city the road passes through a large industrial site comprising warehouses, car showrooms, offices and a variety of shops selling a wide variety of goods from car parts to furniture, tiles to carpets before entering Grangetown. In the distance the top of the Millennium Stadium can just be seen. To the east is the recently developed Cardiff Bay area.
