This corner shop used to be Ballard Estate Post Office till 25 November 2003, but continues to operate as a general store. The nearest post office now is the main office in Swanage. The postbox, an Elizabeth II-reign specimen, is emptied finally at 5:30pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.
