This Regency mansion has 14th-century origins, but was rebuilt and considerably modified around 1820 for Sir Alexander Hood under the direction of Sir John Soane and surrounded by a park designed by Capability Brown. It is now a hotel, surrounded by the 46-acre wildlife park.
