The harbourmaster's office is the building in the foreground, of west Norfolk carstone with blue trimmings. The white structure to its left is the Tide Recorder station and in the distance behind is the Granary. Pevsner makes no comment on any of these buildings, but mentions only "the scent of freshly-landed shellfish" mingling with that of vinegar from the fried-fish shops opposite.
