Above the chancel arch can be seen the plaster tympanum, possibly dating from the 16th century, inscribed with the Ten Commandments and the Royal Arms of King William III, dated 1688. Note the box pews. The eastern pew on the north side is the Corporation Pew with supports for the Corporation's mace, which dates from 1720.
