This is Waltham Street corner, and the depressing looking buildings are 200 years old and badly in need of complete removal and rebuilding. The Methodist Church has plans, but these eyesores are listed for preservation. May common sense prevail in order that the spiritual heart of the city may pursue the social programmes to which it is committed in the most effective manner for the 21st century, in new buildings.
