Commemorative tablet on the former tobacconist's shop of James Gillespie who owned a snuff mill in Colinton Dell and bequeathed funds to found "a Hospital for the Maintenance of Aged Men and Women, and a Free School for the Education of Poor Boys". The shop is now a busy Italian restaurant.
