The Kent Wildlife Trust seem to have renamed this nature reserve "Stockbury Hill Wood". They maintain it, coppicing along this northern edge to increase the variety of wildlife habitats. To encourage rare orchids which grow in the more open woodland on the chalky slope they are creating small glades with dappled shade.
