Built in 1908 by the North Metropolitan Electric Supply Company the works is currently in use for other industrial purposes. The works contained an administration block, a power hall and a relatively early example of a refuse destructor station. Now over a hundred years old and locally listed, it has been under threat of demolition for residential redevelopment of the site for some time. Gary's Image shows the building in 2007.
