This striking memorial on the wall of the churchyard commemorates the loss of three members of the Port Eynon lifeboat Janet in 1916 but nowhere does there appear to be, nor have I found, the name of the sculptor who made it. Update: I have been reliably informed that this memorial was designed by Charles Edward Schenk of Swansea A civil engineer at Swansea Harbour Trust for many years, he was also a land/seascape watercolour artist in his spare time and well known in the locality. He was a founder member of The Swansea Arts Society and exhibited with them.
