The gap in the hedge growing beside Green Lane offers a view across the adjoining field, where a crop of oilseed rape is growing, and to the line of trees beyond, which mark the course of the Marriotts Way long distance footpath. It once carried the East Norfolk Railway and was later run by the Great Eastern Railway, and later still formed part of the London and North Eastern Railway.
