The gate prevents access onto an empty plot beside the A1101 (Outwell Road). A public footpath > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1266982 leading linking Collett's Bridge in Emneth with Chapel Lane in Elm, further to the northwest, least past here on the other side.
