The view from University Avenue to its junction with Byres Road (left to right) and Highburgh Road (straight ahead). Tennent's Bar is on the corner of Byres Road and Highburgh Road. This stretch of road was built in the nineteen sixties or seventies and was originally named as University Avenue Realigned. However the original section of University Avenue has now been renamed University Place and there is no reference in any sign to this being a realignment of the road.
