Parkinhole (Parkin Hall on the 1850 6" map) is a small group of houses amongst the trees on the right of the photo, on a lane off the B6119. The large building on the left is Roe Head special school, in Mirfield (SE1921). Parkinhole is an Anglian name meaning the hollow (or hidden valley) of Paca.
