This carriage drive leads up to Fairwater Road, and has been the main entrance to Insole Court throughout its life since it was first built around 1855. The road that goes to the right behind the stone wall leads to the Stable Block Image The trees on either side of the drive are lime trees, forming a traditional lime avenue so beloved by the owners of grand houses. See http://www.insolecourt.org.uk for more information about this interesting house and its grounds.
