The part in the sun is the former Parkin Hall Lane. In 1850 there was a farm in the middle distance of the photo - now just bumps in the grass. Perhaps this was the original Parkinhole (Parkin Hall on the 1850 6" map), which is said to be an Anglian settlement, 'Paca's hollow'.
