This commemorative plaque remembers Willem Hijkoop (aged 30) and Anton-Marie ten Herkel (aged 22), two sergeant pilots of 320 Squadron (Dutch), based at RAF Leuchars, who died here on 10 August 1941 in the crash of a Lockheed Hudson bomber. "They gave their lives for their country's liberation".
