A strange set of graves. They are located in the extreme south-west corner of the cemetery, hardly a place of honour. Moreover, their headstones carry the legend 'Buried near this spot' above the casualty's details, as if their burials were carried out and recorded with less dignity than you would expect so far from the uncertainties of the battlefield. They date from 1915 to 1921. Some will have been victims of incidents here in Britain, whilst others will have died of wounds sustained abroad.
