This farm has 1,313 acres, of which 200 acres are permanent pasture, and the rest arable. It once had 400 dairy cows, but the dairy operation has closed down. The Battery Farm once had 100,000 chickens which laid 24 million eggs per year, but this operation is in the process of closing down (expected to close summer 2009). The former dairy is now used by a local furniture maker. Unusually, the farm has its own postbox.
