The School was a Church School attached to the Church of St Thomas, which is just to the rear of this building. The Church was built and endowed in 1810, but I haven’t been able to date the School yet. Whites Directory of Sheffield 1852 mentions a nearby Methodist Church built in 1836, but no other notable buildings. Of interest - The singer Joe Cocker was a former pupil of the school.
