Poole, burial ground

Old, eroded gravestones laid down to make a footpath in the old burial ground, which was used from the C18 until 1855, and replacing the church yard of St James, which was prone to flooding, with the risk of corpses rising to the surface. Beware, citizens of Poole who appreciate open space; the council wants to dig it up for road improvements. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/poole/4037120.Burial_site_to_make_way_for_Hill_revamp/
