At the post office, in the distance, was a junction of the former Crookes to Handsworth tramway. The route to Crookes Terminus and Crookes School Road carried straight on, but the Crookes School Road route took the next turn to the right, down Sackville Road and then first right again onto Pickmere Road. This then brought the tram past the former tram depot and back to the post office and the return journey to Handsworth. Pickmere Road is now a cul-de-sac.
