The Chancel is Saxon. The stained glass in the east window was made by Bainbridge Reynolds in 1908. The two niches held statues that were destroyed by the Puritans. The niches remained empty for a long time but they are now filled with two striking modern sculptures. These were made by John Skelton of Hassocks, Sussex in 1972.
