Founded in 1518 the Royal College of Physicians moved to this site (its fifth home) in 1964, when it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II. The building, which is Grade I listed, was designed by Sir Denys Lasdun, who was also the architect of Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and the National Theatre, London amongst many other projects.
