The southern slope of the Conwy Mountain or Mynydd y Dref is clothed in this young Birch woodland, which makes a lovely purple colour in the wintry sunshine. At the foot of the slope the fields of Pinewood Farm are partly snow-covered. The grey sky is due to a retreating hailstorm which was vicious while it lasted.
