The old Ayrton & Saunders warehouse on the right contrasts with the modern development on the opposite side of the street. Dr Ayrton and Mr Saunders set up their business in Liverpool in 1868 to manufacture and market quality medicines and other care products. The company was only sold in 1998. The safety fencing is because of ongoing development in the area.
