Like their colleagues cattle Image, ponies don't have much road sense. If a morsel in the hedge means they have to stand in the road, they will. But, seriously, careless drivers killed or injured 10 ponies in the first week of December 2008 in the New Forest. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3773332/Main/3772204/
