This plaque marks the start of a forest track named "Sir Dudley's Ride" to the west of the Old House. The smaller plaque reads: "THE NEW FOREST CONSULTATIVE PANEL PLANTED TWO OAK TREES IN APPRECIATION OF SIR DUDLEY FORWOOD'S PERIOD IN OFFICE AS FOUNDER - CHAIRMAN FROM 1971 TO 1982". In the background are winter beeches.
