The former boot and shoe factory of James Baker and Sons (established 1850) was built in 1868, closed in 1970, and as a Grade II listed building was restored to alternative use by 2008. The whole extensive site is used as a furniture retail store/warehouse, as well as for offices by other smaller businesses. The necessary use of a wide angle lens has made this courtyard appear larger than it is.
