Built as the Royal Naval Dockyard church in 1828, by George Ledwell Taylor, architect for the Navy Board, and Sir John Rennie Snr, engineer; rebuilt reusing the clock tower after a fire in 1884, more recently used as squash court and community centre. I'm not sure when the recent fire occurred. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/109691 and http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/110446
