Climbing Bear Hill to Race Hill from Lewes Road. One of the steepest roads in Brighton with an average gradient of 1:11 and a maximum of 1:8 near the top. Being near to the University of Brighton as well as on the route to the University of Sussex the area is known for its high student population.
