My grandfather always maintained this. When pressed he would say "You buy it for 6d at Woolworths. It's no good, so a few days later you go to another shop and pay the going price. Therefore its cost you that PLUS the 6d you wasted trying to get it on the cheap at Woolworths" Taken in Cosham High Street.
