Cookstown is famous for having the widest and longest street in Northern Ireland. It is effectively 6 lanes wide although 2 lanes are used for parking or for the market. Standing on James Street looking towards Old Town Street in the distance (it has different names for the different parts of the street). In the distance is Slieve Gallion.
