A regular dog walking route alongside the river Sherbourne in Lake View Park. Here, the vegetation has been cut back on the near side of the stream. A glance at 1:25,000 OS maps (1937-60) shows that the river Sherbourne had been straightened at this point, whereas it once meandered off to the left of (and back to) the line seen here.
