Looking from just up Cardigan Road, back towards the Image, Wimborne Road. Woolworth’s has occupied these premises, 370-374 Wimborne Road, at least since 1975 when they are listed at this address in the Kelly’s Directory. This picture was taken a week or so after the announcement of the company’s being taken into liquidation, just short of their centenary in 2009, and this store is closing soon, the shelves half empty and the remaining stock half price.
