On the A249 dual carriageway from Maidstone to Sittingbourne. Is in need of renovation, seen from dodgy pub-sign. The Harrow at Lidsing (see image Image) would have been used by the Drovers in the 17th and 18th centuries. The Welsh Drovers would have been moving their cattle from grazing on the marshes, to Maidstone and then into London. The 3 Squirrels Inn near Stockbury is shown on the 1810 map and would also have been an haunt of the Drovers.
