The tower is elliptical in section with a Perpendicular west window. Munro Cautley and Pevsner date it to the Norman period but Bill Goode ascribes it to the middle Saxon. It is 43ft (13m) high and 10ft (3m) in internal diameter on the major axis of the ellipse. Like many such towers it houses only one bell.
