A 1970's view with the travel office still bearing its illuminated London Country shaped badge, but with the green wheel with wings replaced by the National Bus Company (NBC) symbol. The vehicle on the 392 for Welwyn Garden City is RP1, an AEC Reliance with Park Royal bodywork. It is painted in NBC Leaf Green and White dual purpose livery. Originally purchased for the London Country Green Line routes, and still carrying the Green Line name, it entered service in 1971 and was withdrawn in 1981, 2 years after this photo was taken. A History of the RP's can be found at http://www.countrybus.org/RPRC/RP.htm on the Ian's Bus Stop website. A history of London Country and it's Green Line services can be found at http://www.ampyx.org.uk/lcountry/ .
