This track was the entrance to what is now Houghton Avenue (formerly Medway Road) from Wigmore Road before the construction of A278n Hoath Way in the 1960s. It spent years as a home for an assortment of old vans and trucks but the old house that lies beside it has now been boarded up and this area will presumably be re-developed.
