Bamforth Street runs down from Langsett Road to Penistone Road. 40 years ago this road and its near neighbours - Burton Street, Capel Street and Cuthbert Bank - were lined with terraced houses. Now, apart from Cuthbert Bank which has been re-developed, these streets are quite derelict with random 'newish' Industrial Units on them. At the bottom of the hill, on the other side of Penistone Road is a cluster of Car Showrooms ... and Shirecliffe Waste Tip is visible in the distance.
