Small field next to the A281 that narrows as it heads northwards with the name given as it appeared on the 1840 tithe map, the common having been located at the far end of the field next to Poynings Crossways. Taken from the footpath that links Henfield Road to Poynings Grange Farm. Shaves Wood is in the distance.
